Former New Zealand fast bowler Shane Bond on Monday backed under-fire Indian seamer Zaheer Khan to regain his lost form soon.
?Every fast bowler experiences that phase, when you just don?t get the rhythm. Nothing new in that and Zaheer is just going through a rough patch. It?s all about rhythm,? said Bond, 37, while rejecting 'too much talk'.
The 33-year-old left-arm medium pacer hailing from Maharashtra has come under fire recently, after struggling against New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Afghanistan in T20 matches. Whilst the veteran seamer managed to claim at least one wicket each against the Black Caps and the islanders, he struggled for penetration against the rest of the two opposition. What brought Zaheer?s performance under scrutiny was his figures of 32 for 0 against the inexperienced Afghanistan batting line-up last Wednesday.
