Email marketing company Constant Contact has acquired
CardStar, a digital and mobile loyalty card platform. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. CardStar, which has over two million users, allows users to consolidate membership and rewards cards on smartphones, letting consumers use a single application rather than carrying around a series of physical cards. Consumers simply scan the cards and their accounts and information is then imported into the app. Merchants can then track consumer behavior.
