Oil Rig Explodes off the Coast of Louisiana (Updating)

The Coast Guard reprots that an oil rig off the coast of Louisiana owned by the Houston-based firm Black Elk Energy caught fire this morning. It has confirmed that two people are dead and two are missing. We hope this doesn't turn out to be another massive disaster like the Deep Water Horizon spill in 2010. We'll update as we learn more. The Coast Guard has activated a "command center" for the incident and says it will provide additional details later this morning. More »
